Setting up your workspace

You'll need to organize your files carefully. My recommendation is that you create a folder for the class (call it, for example, DSGN 1000) and then create a folder for each assignment or task. Create other folders for resource materials, copies of handouts, sample file or other material.

Suggestion: If you haven't done so already, create a "Portfolio" folder for you best work. Having a portfolio is critical and you should start collecting work for it today. As your skills develop, replace older pieces with newer ones, but assume you'll be updating your portfolio of work for your whole career.
